| My opinion is actually that you (meaning a person in general) need to pick your battles, ideally opt for the ones you stand a chance of winning but, if you must die on a hill in a battle you can't win for the sake of principle, at least try to determine how bad the losses will be and ask yourself if its worth the fight. Example: Braveheart. Now, if the guy had known they were going to rip his nuts off for his actions, would he still have been so gung ho to fight for freedom? I think not. (Well, okay, maybe. But he's the exception.) Is it in poor taste for a celebrity to use abusive language to a fan on a message board dedicated to that celebrity? I think so, but I suppose opinions might vary on that subject.
