Yes. You are right. If he had waited and given Jim more time (even if that meant another two years) he would now have something to be proud of. I'm not sure if it would have been 1993 all over again but it would have been a lot better than "HCTB". You are also right that Desmond Child should have tried to be himself. When I saw him interviewed in one of the Meat Loaf documentaries (can't remember which one at the moment), he sounded like he hero worships Jim and that he was setting out to "emulate Steinman" (as you say). | |
