I see what you mean re; the grey on black, it is easier on the eye. But personally I'd love to see a return to the white on black as per the pic I'd posted, but I do wonder how hard optional or even user-specific styles would be to code in...? One person sees this style, another can choose the old style if they like, or even something completely different.
Another advantage of using phpBB or Vbulletin I suppose, but I can understand why this board style is kept, and I do like its simplicity. It's unique at least ;)
Bit of a far fetched thought; could a phpbb-style board be set up to be fed by the content posted here...? Or would that just be too cumbersome to be really workable?
