My understanding is that Lorraine Crosby was used to put the first guide vocal down (only two takes apparently), so that Meat knew where to sing his parts. I think they then used various other female singers to sing the duet parts (Elaine may have been one of these), but ultimately decided Lorraine's vocal was the best (her vocal on the track is great). I also think her inclusion may have had something to do with Jim being her manager at the time, and trying to launch her career (much like the record label did with getting Marion Raven on Bat 3). | |
