| As you probably know by now, Wagner was voted off the X Factor yesterday and Simon Cowell was quick to point out that the anti-X Factor internet campaign which was attempting to "derail" the show by voting Wagner into the finals had failed (Simon called the internet campaigners "people out there"). Oh well. At least Wagner's last words to host Dermot O'Leary were "like a bat out of hell, I am gone, gone, gone!" Surely the man can't be a complete nut case. He was a very good sport when the judges voted to send him home after his sing-off with Mary. The following is an extract from a long X Factor article in today's Daily Mirror (they misspelled Meat Loaf): "Rock Week in The X Factor... Well there's an oxymoron to chill the heart. Its right up there with "frugal Premiership footballer" and "trustworthy Liberal Democrat". This was "rock" defined by record executives, cynically designed for teenagers - not even in a Green Day way but like i-Carly - as menacing as something sung into a hairbrush. Wagner was pantomime, not even Meatloaf but a distressing combination of Humpty Dumpty and a bearded Vanessa Feltz." Hmm. Is the Daily Mirror suggesting that Meat Loaf is a "pantomime" artist? How cheeky of them. Meanwhile, also in today's Mirror, is a report that David's client Will I Am visited X Factor rehersals because he is very interested in signing Cher Lloyd. I actually think that she has the most potential out of all the contestants to become a star (even though she does not have the best singing voice). She would make a great Tink in BOOH: The Musical. Will I Am is a genius in more ways than one. | |
