From what I understood from this thread, someone at Seinäjoki university did a master thesis on Tanz. (Which can be found here, and has a German summary at the end.) So while it perhapse isn't the most usual location, I guess it makes some sort of sense.

From what I learned on Wikipedia, Wikitravel and Google Maps, Seinäjoki doesn't seem the most exciting place in Finland.
But if there's a Steintrip—and I'm all for that, as long as it isn't the third weekend of september (16-18)—perhaps Tampere would be a better location.
