| I don't think so. I think his style did morph from the what i call "rambling piano cabaret" to more BG's and wall of sound. But the sounds seem to reflect the time. The Dylan, Queen, Johnny Cash influences...... However, that said... I feel these are timeless pieces, and lyrics that were considered Taboo at the time are more mainstream now. Smoke Song, Water seller, etc.. have an incredibly current feel... just listen to Dresden Dolls or Lilly Allen....
