I take issue with this statement.
Bat 3 is the album that should be criticized for not sounding like a Bat album, considering they gave it the Bat name.
HCTB is Meat's effort to deliberately not make a Bat record. That's cool, it's great that he tried something different. Unfortunately the album is just plain awful. It doesn't have any good songs unless you count Prize Fight Lover which isn't even on there.
Even if you like the songs... better than Bad For Good or Original Sin? Dream on.
I like Meat and that's why I hope this isn't his finale. He needs to find someone who can write songs that are 1) good and 2) singable by a 63-year-old man.
