Hang Cool Teddy Bear in my opinion works alot better then TMIL, simply because Meat tried to recreate the perfect wace he had with the success of Bat, except instead and surfboard he used a peddle boat with a whole in it.

Meat I think fails to relise what makes Bat out of Hell so special, if he did, he would have fallen on his knees and begged Todd to produce the whole Bat 3 album since pride or health or whatever it was stopped Jim from doing so. Todd should have got rid of all the non Steinman songs and recruited some more of the old Bat players (such as Rory Dodd and Roy Pittan) to help with the vocals and the arrangements really take their time.

Bat's 1 and 2, regardless of which one of those you prefer, are better sounding albums then TMIL because time was taken with them. Bat 3 sounds as though it was rushed out in less then a year, which, when you see that isnt the case, makes the album that much more awful and terrible. If TMIS was a Bat album with Meat in creative control and then its a good job he didn't get to help produce the first album. Filled with stunt guest stints and making solo songs duets needlessly. Its all coming back to me now was not a duet and Meat fucked up by making it so or agreeing it should be a duet.

Also, in regards to Wario's claim that Meat has always sung the way he does. I think with the demos from various shows and albums disprove that. I think Meat listened very intently to the demos and thire performers and took alot of their performances when to came to singing Jim's songs. For Crying Out Loud for example, you can hear the demo singer's influence on Meats vocal quite a bit in my opinion. I'm not saying they sound exactly alike, but some imitation is audible.

Meat wasnt the force behind BAt, as its clear (Even more clear now) that the Bat out of Hell sound was already in Jim's head long before he met Meat.
