Meat's musical direction these days. Your opinions please.

I just thought I'd ask the Steinfans what they think of Meats musical direction these days. Lets talk about the albums CHSIB, Hang Cool Teddy Bear, and the forthcoming "Hell in a Handbasket". The first two were very different to anything Steinman would write in my opinion, but I'd like to know what kind of impact they made on you considering they are both non-Steinman albums? Personally I don't think any of the songs are near as good as Jims. Now a lot of Meats fans especially on his fansites think his vocals are excellent on HCTB, and the album is one of his best ever, and the fact that he has more control, he can do what he wants (unlike when he worked with Jim) and they think it's better, which is fair enough.

It was never my intent to cause trouble, but I still question his vocals on HCTB, as they do sound kind of strange and edited, but maybe that's just me. I also don't see how a man of 63 years of ages, who's being using his voice extensively for about 40 years (and using it way more than he should have) sounds better than ever. As regards being one of his best albums ever. I wouldn't think so. I'd put Bat 1, 2, 3, WTTN, DR, Bad Attitude, CHSIB, ahead of it. I'd like to know what you think?

Hell in a Handbasket is on it's way and it could be something like HCTB or maybe CHSIB. But what do you guys think of the musical direction he's taking these days with the producers and songwriters he's working with? Are you still loving the stuff he's doing? I for one am still loving the older stuff.
