It's a safe assumption that Jim is still currently legally muzzled.

The settlement that Jim's and meat's camps came to that allowed Meat to release Bat3 in the way he did would DEFINITELY have also stipulated that Jim would not be allowed to release anything in any form for X years. Perhaps 5+ years. We know that the agreement forces Jim to call his musical JIM STEINMAN's BooH, and it is a no brainer that there would also be a 'lockout period'.

Otherwise Jim, Rinkoff and Bova could release something very similar 12 months after the release of Meat and Desmond's thing, and make a mockery of the entire settlement process.

Whether that's the sole reason for Jim's silence, who knows? But I'd say there's a good chance it might be the main reason, given he was seemingly in the middle of a number of projects that both he and JD seemed happy enough to keep us updated with.

You'd have to think that TMiL made Jim a LOT of money. I hope so.
