Are there any Jim tracks left for Meat to cover? Would you want him to?

Before TMiL, Meat had recorded (unless I've overlooked something) 5 Steinman cover versions. ie, sans Jim's involvement.

• Surf's Up
• Nowhere Fast
• Original Sin
• Left In The Dark
• Is Nothing Sacred

In my view, these are ALL good. I like them all. I know I'm in the minority re: his WttN tracks, but I think they're both great. At this point, Meat was a reliable interpreter of Jim's stuff, even when Jim wasn't around.

And then TMiL goes and fucks it all up, and the balance is now only 5 successes compared to 7 dismal failures. Some of them really, REALLY big failures.

I still feel like I'd love to hear Meat cover a few more Jim songs, but maybe the latest and fullest data is that he can't be trusted. :-/ I like to blame Desmond as much as the next guy, but I think Meat may have lost the ability to tell good from bad. It does happen when you're pressured and rushed.

ALSO, I'm not sure what suitable tracks are left for him to do with Jim not adding any more into the pool for, what, the best part of a decade?. Something from Whistle, maybe?.

All this assuming the two will not work together again, of course… safe assumption.
