| With Meat recording a new album, my thoughts have been drifting to him singing another Steinman song, but one wanders what else he can do. Stark Raving Love and Dance in my pants are out, since he doesn't like them (They should only be sung by Jim anyway) The only Original Sin song he's left to sing is safe sex, and I dont think that would sound right coming from a 65 years old man. The "Newer" songs also have the same problem, songs like Body and Children need a young, youthful unique and consistent voice. Meat may have ticked all those boxes and more back in the day, but now? His voice is a little by the numbers for my taste these days. > Before TMiL, Meat had recorded (unless I've overlooked > something) 5 Steinman cover versions. ie, sans Jim's > involvement. > > • Surf's Up > • Nowhere Fast > • Original Sin > • Left In The Dark > • Is Nothing Sacred > > In my view, these are ALL good.
