| I would never accuse Bad For Good as being thin or underproduced. It's a bit too LIVE for my liking. In fact in the recent Kasim interview that was linked to on this forum, Kasim described Todd's producing style on Bat as 'capturing a good performance' more than 'crafting an album'. If you compare Frying Pan on Bad For Good to Frying Pan on Bat2, you certainly get that impression. It's almost as if the arrangements and performances on Bat2 are unable to be accurately replicated on stage unless Meat were to double his band and rehearse for a month, such are all the intricacies etc. That's the way I like my Steinsongs. > > AGAIN, same friend of mine (I've mentioned him three times > now lol) thinks "Bad for Good" and "Original Sin" sound > like demos (Well, actually, he refuses to listen to > "Original sin" because he thought the title track sounded > like 80s rubbish, but he LOVES the version on > "Neighbourhood") > > I definitely don't feel that way, LOL.
