| It is true that Meat has alot of emotional depth to Steinman's work. And I think in the right environment if the two ever chose to work together. Something great really could happen. But Jim is busy with his thing, and Meat is doing his. Air Supply's 'Making Love' is a little more than alright. Great production, but the vocal always sounds safe to me. I Sooner would play Meat over Air Supply around my friends. Air Supply is kinda like a guilty pleasure to me. At least that one song. Don't know any others ;) I'm not very familiar with Bonnie's but Rory's hits it, plus it has extra words. Marvelous! As for Meat singing Steinman. I agree with steven_stewart about the emotional depth. And some recordings of Steinman is always good even if they were familiar ones like 'Braver' (Especially with PATTI), if Jim wished to go through with that. I would like to hear something new with both Meat and Jim. But Jim would have to get creative control. And I don't think Meat would be able to handle that. Things may be different now. Who knows. We shall see, Meat is now The Boss ;) But in my brutal honest opinion, if Steinman were to have his songs on any album with Meat in or on it. Steinman should be boss. He just knows how to make it work! TMIL crumbled, cause Jim wasn't involved. (takes a breath) But whatever happens is not up to us. | |
