Here are some thoughts:
Live Or Die and California Dreamin' are excellent.
Stand In The Storm would be much better if it was all Meat.
I don't like rap.
At 52 minutes the album is too short. It needs a couple of extra songs.
The whole thing sounds a bit rushed. As if it needed a little more polish before it was put out. There are times that everything comes together, and other times where things don't seem quite right.
Meat's done a good job, but some of the material is a bit poor. He needs to find some better songwriters.
I've listened to it several times now and want to do so again, so it's already streets ahead of HCTB in my book.
Overall it gets a thumbs up from me, but if Meat were to add a few more good songs, drop a couple that are less than stellar (Another Day for one) and give the whole thing a bit more touching up then it could be a very good album instead of fairly decent.
