Wasn't there an off-Broadway production recently that did better than the original Broadway production? Apparently the original closed after five performances, despite the fact that the tickets were sold out. At the end of each show, there were boohs and enthusiastic applause. Maybe it was something people either loved or hated. It seems to have a huge cult following. I would have loved to have seen it. I wonder if Stephen King himself saw it and what he thought. Is it the only musical written by Dean Pitchford and Michael Gore? I know they collaborated on the movie Fame. > Dance of the Vampires had its moments too.
