It was like combining "The Producers" with "Phantom". It has to be one or the other. The comedy in the original version worked so much better. Crawford got very sick in that show because of the fat suit that he had to wear as part of the costume for Count Fosco. Crawford intriguingly enough, also considering that it was his first show after "Dance", speaks and sings with an Italian accent because Fosco is Italian. | |
