Sadly I didn't see Tom Scholz (of Boston) on the list. He wrote all the songs, played almost all the instruments, and recorded it in his basement studio on equipment he invented. He was so meticulous that one time when he wasn't satisfied with any of the drum takes, he literally cut up the tapes into little pieces and stuck them together to create the perfect take. The "Boston" album sold 17 million copies, making it the best-selling debut album ever.
