I like Boston albums from 1986 onwards. Really like the thick, melodic guitar sound Scholz produces. Many guitar melodies remind me of Thin Lizzy. Earlier in the year I bought Boston's 'Third Stage' and I was surprised how much the guitar sound on that album reminded me of Def Leppard's 'Hysteria' which came out in 1987. I remember that Leppard guys used Rockman for guitars on 'Hysteria' and (according to liner notes on 'Third Stage')Scholz used Rockman the first time on 'Third Stage' which was released in 1986. So, obviously Def Leppard's 1987 sound is very influenced by Boston and Scholz.

Didn't read the list through but I hope Bob Ezrin was listed high.
