This version has now become my favorite song of Milady/Fur Sarah melody. Rory's singing is amazing. The way he sings "the rim of the sky" and the last line "free", just beautiful...

Think the piano intro melody works best in 'Rainbow' (Druid's Head) though, because it's so strong a melody on its own. Here it's out of place in my opinion.

Had to look what Ray Errol Fox said in 'Confidence Man' cd about Jim's attempt to record 'Milady'. Couldn't agree more with the following.

"Jim told me he thought 'Milady' was the most beautiful song he'd ever written. Clive (Davis) called me to say he thought it was the next 'Moon River' and that someday they'd be singing it at weddings everywhere."

Shame that it hasn't became to that...yet.

Sombody please send this version to Clive Davis and remind him of this "Moon River". :)
