I've never heard I'd Lie For You (and that's the truth) as an overt copy of I'd Do Anything For Love.

Perhaps the title is Diane Warren's attempt at a similar kinda thing, but the lyrics don't emulate Anythign For Love any more past the title line. (Didn't Jim 'give' that title to Diane Warren? or was that just rumour?) The melody is in no way a copy of Jim, and the concept of a fractured cliche is not one jim has the monopoly on.

Take it this way, if jim had written I'd Lie For Yiou, in it's exact state, it would be one of the most different and unique things that sticks out from his catalogue. The production is notably more organic, too. great song. I love WTTN.
