In regards the UK JCS tour, I think it did well due to the TV audition show (for Jesus), plus a Spice Girl (Mel C), a well known Radio 1 DJ (Chris Moyles) and a well known comedian/musician (Tim Minchin).

The US tour did seem to lack a well (enough) known cast (for US audiences), and I'm surprised Cohl (or anyone) took this show on, as the budget was in excess of 8 figures (see link).

Ticket sales were apparently dreadful (which RUG can't argue with) but I think they are not happy with the (supposed) lack of promotion, hence chasing their costs. I imagine there will be an out of court settlement.

In regards producing/promoting BOOH I don't envisage a problem, as Cohl has a great track record. I know Spiderman petered out, but I think that was because the show was just poor, and not due to promotion. As far as I could tell from Broadway World, You Tube etc, Spiderman was forever in the media (good and bad) and grosses were huge in the first 12-18 months.

I think the 'BOOH' brand and 'Jim Steinman' still carry a lot of weight, and I agree that a theatrical production will be fresh (for audiences).

Suggest a single recorded by a major star, prior to the show opening won't hurt either.

Also I think Neil Patrick Harris could be great as either Baal or Hook. Any thoughts?
