Yes. I see what you mean exactly.

I once had a pretty bizarre image of Professor Higgins in "My fair lady" singing this actually. In all seriousness here. I'm not joking. It was this song instead of "I've grown accustomed to her face". And instead of "Damn! Damn! Damn! Damn! I've grown accustomed to her face." It would be "No! No! No! No! The future ain't what it used to be."
