Don't take this the wrong way but it looks like Ravenous was cursed from the start. It was basically set up after "No Matter What" soared through the charts and Boyzone were on top of the world. Then they broke up a year later or something... Then Nicki French. She recorded two songs for Jim and Rinkoff, "Lovers Again" and "Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad". What happened to them? Never released. Then Karine Hannah. We all know what happened there. Is there any evidence LEFT surrounding THAT situation? I guess Hewitt Huntwork got his deal on the "Wuthering Heights" EP and I love his songs there. "I Will Crumble" is one of my (haha I have a habit of saying this) favourite songs ever. Who else? > > TDE was only gonna fly commercially if the group was > willing to tour the arse off the album (like Meat did in > the 70's), and I don't think that will happen, as most of > the band & vocalists seem to have a lot of other work as > well. Plus I don't think Jim can live through that all over again. That's something he and Meat had to do 30 years ago. He's no spring-chicken. Not to mention he had a few strokes / heart-attacks beforehand. I think I understand what's going on here. Personally, what would you do in this situation? Stick with a new group performing new songs and new versions of your catalogue? Or would you commit to a massive spectacular based on a show you've been working on for 40 years. If the musical falls apart (we haven't heard anything on "Bikers Of The Round Table" either, plus Beattie is working on dozens and dozens of movies) then I don't know what to expect. > > I think the best bet for Ravenous to have a hit album > (with Steinman songs), is to go with an Adrienne Warren > solo album. Again, you'd still have to promote it. If Jim is working with Bonnie Tyler, he doesn't have to bother with that. Because shit or not, she still recorded two of his biggest hits > > She has the voice and the looks, and could be a big star, > managed/produced by Jim & Rink. > She is my favourite out of all of them, although I LOVE Rob's theatre stuff and have "Dracula" and "Jekyll & Hyde" | |
