Braver Than We Are... :) I wish this track was actually on Youtube so I could use the little "play at 1.25 speed" button, because I feel almost like this version is the "running through tar" version, and it would be so much better if it went slightly faster. Though even as it is, without any weird effect like that, some of Meat's lines sound really obviously cut together, which is a bit annoying. e.g. the bit just following "paradise lost". As in, maybe they should have had the lines overlap a little - perhaps even coming through alternating speakers - rather than sound so obviously chopped together. Also.... I feel like Meat's a lot better in the bits where he blends with the female vocals, rather than the bits where he's the solo vocal. I think I'd like a version of this album where Ellen and Karla sing all the songs, with Meat on backing vocals. That would be super extra awesome. :) Still, it's quite cool. And I get to listen without having to sign up for iTunes or buy any extra copies of the album on Amazon! Hooray! =D Maybe I just need to get used to this. Going to listen on repeat all afternoon. :) | |
