The piano sound throughout disappoints for me.

Probably midi on all the songs, as it's a lot quicker to edit and email the parts.

I'm surprised Jim never insisted on an acoustic grand, but then engineering a decent sound becomes an issue.

In regards the mix, some things work and some don't. For example the guitar intro notes to GATW sound way too low (to my ears), but the harmony guitar lines later on, sound great.

I would suggest Paul Crook was probably 'fried' from the production/engineering/touring, and I think they should have out sourced the mixing (Chris Lord-Alge, Rich Costey, Steven Rinkoff).
