| So Hi, this is my first post here.....long time Stein nut and guitar player, in fact i just finished all the guitars on Tyces upcoming album and co produced it with Zak Lloyd...so yes the midi piano on Braver is quite obvious to me, and very disappointing, seems strange that they had access to a great player like Justin, however i am sure some of it was played live but for the most part lots of lines seem "written" in, i also feel there was not enough guitars on the album period, also strange as paul is a great player...of course Meats voice is not what it was.....but it does not bother me to much at all.....for Tyces album i can tell you that EVERY piano note was hand played by Zak lloyd, and the bonus material was done on a grand......Live in LA, Piano and vox only, one take each song, and there will be 4-5 bonus tracks... > The piano sound throughout disappoints for me. > > Probably midi on all the songs, as it's a lot quicker to > edit and email the parts. > > I'm surprised Jim never insisted on an acoustic grand, but > then engineering a decent sound becomes an issue. > > In regards the mix, some things work and some don't.
