| Last Friday I went watching Faithless at the MEN arena (Manchester, uk) it was a sold out gig and was fantastic. It was £25 a ticket, which is really reasonable these days. The Stage was fantastic, about 6 screens, great lights and I could see where my money had gone! The day after I went to watch My Chemical Romance again this was at the MEN and again sold out. The ticket was £17.50 (cheap as chips!!!!) this time no screens, but a good stage, a drummer on a revolving platform, fire works and huge fire cannon things. I thought it was shit-HOT for £17.50!!!! The reason I write this is because I am going to see 'the meat' in May. I am on the 3rd row from the front on the floor - great seats. This has cost me £45 a ticket, a bit much but not outrageous. The last few times I have seen him (over a few years) inc the RAH gig, the stage has been the same, the lighting not much different and it has just been bit of a plain affair. If those other bands can sell tickets cheaper and there are probably equal number of people in all of them AND have a bigger tour budget why can't the meat when his tickets are a little more expensive? If this is gonna be the meats last full on outing (and I think it will) I hope there is a little bit more cash in the pot to send him off in a good way and for people to be coming home thinking they got their monies worth. P.s. can you tell I am an accountant? | |
