I don't know if you've ever heard this before, but Meat was going to play Billy Bibbit in the classic movie "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest". Brad Dourif, the voice of Chucky in the "Child's Play" movie, ended up getting the role instead. Had Meat gotten the role, he probably would have gone into a major acting career. I'm not sure. It's very interesting. I used to joke that Meat would have ended up playing the voice of Chucky, and who knows Brad would have worked with Jim instead. Can you imagine that?? "Don't fuck with the Chuck!" "And like a bat out of hell I'll be gone when the morning comes!"

Meanwhile, Jim always thought he was going to go into film and theatre. The programs for "More Than You Deserve" and "Kid Champion" give you a pretty good indication of this, like Jim is going to write an opera based on "Arturo Ui", he's writing a musical based on Shakespeare's "Titus Andronicus", David Bowie is going to lead the cast for "The Dream Engine", and then maybe Jim was going to record his own album too. Which yeah, he eventually does, but after Meat loses his voice on "Bat out of Hell". Because "Bat" was so huge, they both went off into making albums, but they started off really in the theatre and that was what they wanted to do.
