It's not MEAT LOAF. Why can't he get his facts right if he loves the music so much. It's STEINMANIAN. What annoys me about all these people's presumptions is that "oh, it's MEAT LOAF." On the Ahrens & Flaherty site they show the direction given to "In The Dark Of The Night" from "Anastasia": "Meat Loaf meets Professor Higgins." NO, it should be "Jim Steinman meets Professor Higgins". Meat Loaf is only the singer. He has nothing to do with the sound except for his vocals. He never wrote those songs. The songs he wrote himself were boring and passive and nothing LIKE Steinman. This pisses me off. Even the Variety article for "Tanz" couldn't even credit Steinman ONCE and he COMPOSED THE FUCKING MUSICAL. IT'S FUCKING BULLSHIT | |
