He's just an old guy. Even around WTTN he had the black suit, the lace, the red banner, the inflatable bat, the enormous voice and the larger-than-life character. That's what people will always remember about Meat. This old guy is not what they'll remember. Meat lost his image at the same time he lost his voice. He should be doing acting and not singing, IMO, as he's still a great actor. If he were to take some dramatic different part that's not always "oh, look it's Meat Loaf" and not the character he's playing (he started out well with "Fight Club") then I think he would get a HELL of a lot more notice. I don't know why he just doesn't throw in the towel and stop reliving the past and humiliating himself, go and do a good drama or a blockbuster. Winning an OSCAR should be Meat's ambition now not promoting a lacklustre sequel to albums that are impossible to top.
