Haha, good. But actually I didn't give a shit that this particular piece of American current affairs is not on my radar and wasn't asking for an explanation (and to be honest I basically deduced all that from the commments so far anyway).

Simply pointing out that to think you have to be under a rock to not know this news,, to a guy who lives in Germany for christs sake, is like me saying to people here they're living under a rock cause they didn't know that south east queensland is currently under Level 5 water resitrictions, or who the federal Minister for Education is.
