It's probably unfair to compare Meat to someone like Dylan to justify Meat sounding the way he does. Dylan's always had a voice that was crap, but that was one of the attractions to Dylan, just like Shane Macgowan and The Pogues. When I hear Meat Loaf, that's who I want to hear, not someone who might be better than Dylan. And clearly from that boot, Meats voice is sounding pretty rough, especially compared to the RAH one last year. And Meat isn't singing almost operatic songs, he's singing rock songs albeit bombastic ones. Pud | |
