Just been sorting out my Q magazines (212 in all), for e-bay, and discovered in Q #100 (Jan 1995), that Jim was part of the judging panel for the Q Awards in 1994.
Stephen Street won the 'Best Production' award, and Jim is qouted:
'This was easy. Very liberated use of the studio - cinematic, heightened, stylised - from vaporous veils swirling mystery around The Cranberries (Everybody Else Is Doing It So Why Can't We?) to a tough febrile edge on Blur (Parklife)'.
Jim seems to like the word 'heightened', as he uses it in almost every interview?
