| Not too much to say since I am about to go out but I wanted to let anyone interested know that I just saw the movie Dance of the Vampires was based on last night. Sadly the channel I watched it on was kind of hiccuping throughout so the experience was a bit less than what I would have hoped. BUT all in all I really liked this movie. VERY campy humor, kind of vaudevillian style even. It helped the plot since oldschool vampire movies can get a bit tiresome and they spiced it up a bit with the humor. The set was spectacularly designed. And the short but wonderful performance by the late Sharon Tate as Sarah left me in a strange state considering her horrific fate WAY before her time. It was kind of surreal watching the movie, both because I have been waiting to see it since 1998 (almost ten years!) and the dream like quality of it. I wanted to let anyone know that it will be on again on Friday and I think it airs at 1030 am Eastern Standard US time. The channel is pretty obscure though, I have verizon HD cable. But if anyone has it they should check it out on HD NET (or HD NET MOVIES, i forget which). Hope you all get a chance to see this special movie. -A.G. | |
