| First time caller, long time listener. Actually, Jacqueline helped me out a long, long time ago with helping to compile a list of songs done by Jim (many thanks) Like many of y'all, I find myself going to MySpace on the Dream Engine site just to hear "We're Still the Children"...vintage Steinman! My question to the community is this...if you could pick one singer to cover one Steinsong, who would it be and why? I know my answer will sound like blasphemy (but then again Jim did work with Air Supply and Barry)... I've always thought of Jessica Simpson as a great candidate for the song Safe Sex. When I listen to the words it almost screams out someone who has been public, portrayed as naive, burned, and still knows that there isn't anything "safe" about letting yourself be vulnerable in a relationship. Either that or I just like to think about Jessica Simpson :) Who would you have cover a SteinSong? | |
