Well, this is hardly a universe from which I draw but come to mind one of my favorite singers for both tone and pathos expression, is Reba McIntyre, and the song I would most picture her with is "Left In The Dark", except the line "Take off your dress" simply would have to go, and not be just substituted with pants, how gauche! But if that is included, then maybe there could be a medley tie-in with "Dance In My Pants". I don't ever want to be rescued, I don't ever want to be saved :)
