Truthfully-

As much as I used to admire the man for his music, I have lost much of my enthusiastic joy over his work. He is, without a doubt, a genius- when he follows through. The same can be said for most geniuses, so it's just a fact of life.

Unfortunately, Rockman Record at first whetted my appetite and encouraged my enthusiasm of the work that Jim HAS produced. Since then, the board has turned into a soap opera, with constant barrages of "well I KNOW how Jim did this" and "I have INSIDER information"- bull.

Jim himself is a stone idol to me anymore- he is a blank-faced statue that occasionally dispenses a miracle or prophecy. I still admire his work and will never stop enjoying what I have- but will I buy any further Jim projects? Doubtful. To be dead honest- I haven't liked much of anything he's done since Bat 2, and I found Desmond Child's pieces on Bat 3 to be in keeping with that grandiose, sweeping orchestration that Bat 2 did so well- I'd rather spend my money on more of Child's work. He at least seems to be more consistent about producing it, and there aren't quite as many psychotic lunatics dancing around his altar.
