Thank you for this. There's no better way to spend a night of thoughtful insomnia. I've been wanting to hear "Is Nothing Sacred" for a long time. I'm listening to it now. My feeling of the vocal is that it is too high for lyric clarity; her voice is sweet, but some voices lose the lyrics in them. Maybe that's a mixing kind of issue. The melody is uncharacteristically plain for a composition by Jim, because he favors highs and lows, and particularly between the half-notes. I love half-notes. This melody is more akin to something that ALW would write. But the lyrics on the song, those I can hear are very truly nice. If love so deep and true could not stand the test of time..... | |
