After reading below that Jim & Rink may have recorded 5 songs with Patti Russo, it makes it even more curious as to why Ravenous Records have never taken a 'punt' and released an album for someone.
I think they could do a great record with Patti, with Adrienne Warren and maybe even Darren Holden.
Also, there was all those 'rumoured' and abandoned projects as well:
Dream Engine, Karine Hannah, Hewitt Huntwork, Mandy Gonzales, Nicki French etc etc.
If they set the label up in the first place, you would presume they had funds to offer artists deals & promote? I also understand that they have a distribution agreement with Sony as well.
So Jim & Rink produce the records, Ravenous is the label & promotes, Sony distribute, and the artist is booted out on tour; I'm not a music industry expert, but is there much more to it than that ??
I think Ravenous should forget their tagline 'When You're Really Hungry For Hits' (we'd all be dead from starvation), and change it to:
'We Used To Be Indecisive (But Now We're Not So Sure)' LOL!!
