I could listen to Roy play all day. It's a shame he's so underused by Bruce these days.

He's done some great, great stuff with other artists too. You can hear his distinct, runaway piano lines throughout the Dire Straits Making Movies album - Skateaway, in particular, springs to mind. He's also there in a lot of the great Bob Segar stuff - Even Now, Roll Me Away, The Fire Inside.

He also used to play with Stevie Nicks in the 80s. Here's a fantastic version of Rhiannon, with a haunting piano intro:
