I remember quite a few years ago, that in keeping with a song title for the title of the film "Bat Out of Hell" was supposed to be released as a sequel to "Jeepers Creepers"(a movie loosely based off the Jersey devil mythos). Everyone knows that a cover version of the song of the same title appeared in the first film as a sort of macabre gag, so I looked forward with curiousness to the sequel featuring the song or perhaps a cover of the song. I was disappointed when the sequel came out only to have the name change and the "Bat Out of Hell" concept dropped. Does anyone have any information why the original "Bat Out of Hell" title was dropped? Did Steinman, (since "Bat Out of Hell" is copyrighted) prefer to keep a film title exclusive to any future movie project of his own?
