Just felt the need to share this. Here is a track off Kelly's new album. It's called "Sober" and probably one of the best and most powerful songs I've heard in quite some time. I've already listened to it a dozen times today. Get it while the link is still active. As I've posted here many times before, if I could pick one artist to cover Steinman, it'd be her. I don't care which song, with her voice she'd knock it out of the park. My picks would be Ravishing, Heaven Can Wait, Objects. Maybe even Bat Out Of Hell just to hear her hit the notes at the end. On a side note, her management and record company are absolutely insane with all the crap they've put her through over this album. "She can't write songs" "Women can't write songs" "Shut up and sing" "It's too dark, no one will buy it" All bullshit. And there are Grammy's to prove it. Because Of You is still one of the best songs written (co-written) IMO. And I think there'll be a few more Grammy's in the near future... The rumor lately is that Clive Davis offered her 10 million to scrap the album, her reply "I've already made plenty of money off you, and you've made even more off me. The album stays" Sticking to your guns is hard to do in this biz, especially when you work for an evil empire. And Bon Jovi comes out tomorrow. Oh, happy day! | |
