for me... it was the whole song... the combination of the two first verses opposed to the third...

the first two verses discribe a rather lonely love-affair, she needs him, he lets her down... yet he is the only boy who wanted her the way she is and that there is nothing she wouldn't do for him...

sums up my relationship with both my parents and my ex-husband in one song... how depressing is that????
