| He blogged about his unique piano sound that he perfected with rinkoff - but said that it dated back to the 1970 Dream Engine Demos, and perhaps is most prominent in the demo of Making Love Out Of Nothing At All. I find this intresting... I thought Jim didn't understand demo's - thats why they performed BAT live when shopping it around. Yet it seems he has DEMOS of EVERYTHING, multiple demos, him on piano, then a more studiofied version with demo singer at the time (rory, kyle, elaine, holly, RE, etc...). I know from atlanta - that even the demos have like 126.782 versions and alternate takes etc... Body alone had like 12 different intros. I think there are a gazillion Not Allowed To Loves..... So this makes me wonder, A) Who Demoed BAT II? (Jim and who) b) How many demo's? C) How many Meat Loaf Out takes / alternate recordings / versions? I know the first line in Anything For Love was pasted together from 54 takes - and Jim drove Rink nutty searching through all of them to find the peices that he craved. Thoughts? Also if Jim were to release a demo, for sake of conversation it can't be an unknown song, what demo would you request? I'd want Kyle's Demo of BODY! -J | |
