The Frying Pan and Rock'n'Roll Dreams that were on Bat 2 were different, but not superior.

That will never happen. Desmond's songs are not Bat songs as it was there addition that prevented TMIL from being a proper Bat album.

If Jim wanted a song to be on Bat 3 then it is a Bat song and could and should be included. Personally I will never regard TMIL as a Bat album and therefore never refer to it as Bat 3.
