| That is my attitude and it's how I conduct myself here--which might be why I'm not a very popular poster here either--9 years here and alot gets said, just like in a real community. You emass baggage, good and bad, people recognise a poster's 'user name' and just skip all of those from that poster. I can see where a newbie name would be treated with at least a lack of bias. And we're ALL guilty of biases here, admit it or not. Even with posters we know very little about--we already have something of a formed opinion as to whether reading their post is worth our time. And to go back and 'face the music' connected with past controversy every time you post, especially if it's something Jim-related that merits a fair hearing amongst the Jim experts here, then what the hell--there is indeed a place for that and I would back Sturse on his defence there. Like JD rightly observed, 'I'd hate to be sick or weak amongst this crowd'--the Steinfans have always been a tough crowd, especially in defending Jim. But they're pretty ruthless on fellow posters as well. I tell you, if I profoundly pissed off this group, I wouldn't come back!!! I respect most everyone here so very much that I'd be more heartsick than fearful, but I understand what Sturse is saying and it might be time for all of us to cut people just a little more slack at times--I mean those worthy of having slack cut! (Hey, I'm still a Steinfan here and part of the obsessive dysfunction!) Leesa > > It's not as if set out to create mulitple aliases.
