really? put to the aside all the hoo-hah surrounding the lack of Jim, the presence of Desmond, the quality of Meat's voice, i think my biggest problem with this album is the lack of emotion in the songs.
i think the songs on TMIL are better than those on Midnight and CHSIB and maybe even the other non-Jim albums, but it sits at the bottom of the list, because for me, on this album, THERE IS NO EMOTION.
personally speaking that's what stops me getting into it. i can get past the fake Bat thing, i only ever refer to it as TMIL, but i can't get past the lack of meaning. he seems to be going through the motions if you ask me. i prefer CHSIB, not because the songs are any good (half the album is godawful), but because at least Meat 'seems' like he cares...
