Sure, it's being smart to do what you have to do to keep yourself afloat while waiting for bigger and better things. From an artist's standpoint, however, it's selling out. People who care enough about their art won't compromise it to make a quick buck.

Given these things then, it leads me to believe that he isn't really much of an artist. It's like saying that Thomas Edison was a great inventor because he invented the light bulb. Although it was a ground-breaking achievement, the fact that it took over 1000 tries to get it right shows that it was a result of more perspiration than inspiration.

So Meat being willing to do whatever to keep that money rolling in may be fine for him, but in the end it only proves that he is more concerned with fame and fortune than the art. So from an artist's standpoint (which I have been measuring this by), the practice is lacking in moral conviction.
